Tubal pregnancy, do you have to have surgery or do some cases not require it ?

I ask this because my relative told me that her Dr. told her 3 days ago her pregnancy was a tubal. She said she ';might'; have to have surgery. I feel bad about this but I even question if it was true she was pregnant in the first place. I feel it's possible she is looking for attention and obviously can't continue saying she is pregnant if she is not and had to come up with an explanation as to why she is ';no longer pregnant';. I am concerned either way, if it is tubal, that she get prompt treatment and if she wasn't pregnant that she may be suffering mentally for whatever reason. I need to know if surgery is a definate treatment for this condition or if some cases do not require treatment to be in an understanding position to help her through whatever is going on.Tubal pregnancy, do you have to have surgery or do some cases not require it ?
If an ectopic pregnancy is caught early a drug called methotrexate is administered in the hopes that the zygote (cell bundle) will dissolve and not progress any further. If this happens, then surgery is not necessary. Sometimes, after administration of the drugs, the pregnancy continues; if more medication doesn't stop the growth then surgery would be necessary.Tubal pregnancy, do you have to have surgery or do some cases not require it ?
'Tubal' pregnancies generally have to be terminated through surgery. Usually, all of the normal hormonal processes happen, so the only way to know that a pregnancy is 'tubal' is if there is massive pain, swelling, fever, and bleeding. And that usually requires an emergency surgical intervention to prevent rupture and internal bleeding. Most doctors don't do ultrasounds early in pregnancy, unless there is some serious concern-so how she would come to find this out is kind of puzzling.
I had an etopic pregnancy too. Surgery is only necessary if you don't have a sontaneous abortion. This is just doctor speak for lossing the baby and placenta. If this does not happen naturally then surgery is necessary.
If they caught it soon enough, then they might be able to get rid of the tubal preg by medications or some kind of shot.
Surgery would be required. A baby can not go in the fallopian tubes.

Many cases of tubal pregnancy are due to an infection, which paralyses the hairs in the tubes, which sweep the egg into the uterus.
