The bill was supposed to renew the S-chip program for the children of the poor, BUT congress is trying to slip a bit of socialist rhetoric through piggybacked to this bill, stating that anyone making less than 83,000 a year has entitlements to what's supposed to be a supplement for the poor, not the middle class.
The last time I checked, anyone making 40,000-83,000 a year were not ';the working poor'; or ';welfare cases.'; It should be vetoed repeatedly until they learn this is not a socialist, hand-out society. In fact, it should be left up to the states considering wages differ via the cost of living of said area (for example, 50,000 a year for a family may very well be considered poor in LA or NYC, but well-off in the midwest).

I have mixed emotions, few want children to be denied health are, but from what I had read not only does it cover the kids but in some cases the parents as well I also think it takes away the responsible of the parents to provide for their children. I have seen some friends and relatives that the opportunity to get health insurance from their work, but opted out because the premiums were too high, but then took vacations and purchased news cars. I do not feel I should have to use my tax dollars to cover their choices

Are there complete covers/cases for the Macbook?
My macbook is showing stains from my wrists. Are there replacement cases you can buy? Even different colors and designs? I'm not looking for the stickers for the top of the case or the sleeves. My main concern is the wrist stains. I'm looking to sell my Macbook, but I could never sell it looking the way it does. That wouldn't be fair. I've only had it for 2 months. Never again will I buy a white Macbook.

Also, I think that it's important to get a case/cover for your MacBook to protect it from damage as well as normal dirt and stains from your hands. There are a bunch of companies that offer all kinds of cases and laptop covers. Targus is a good company for this, but there are plenty of others. Check with your local Mac dealer.
I've heard that the black MacBooks show your oils just as badly. I'm not sure what you can do as far as cleaning this. I've heard this comment before from both Windows and Mac users, but I don't know what is the best answer.

You carry that life inside you for 40 weeks, feel it growing and can't wait for this little person to arrive. Then you spend the next god knows how many years beyond the age of 18 trying to keep them safe from harm. They are equally responsible for their child`s welfare.
But as the mother, is usually responsible for the majority of childcare, in most relationships, particularly with a baby or toddler. Naturally, we would expect a mother to want instinctively to protect her young but I can tell you from experience (my own mother) there are many many women who do not have this maternal instinct. This case has really got to me - when I see that little boy's face, I get an instant lump in my throat at the thought of his long and painful death. I feel I want to scoop him up and take care of him.
Sadly, this won't be the last - thanks to our current Government who willingly fund this ever growing underclass of society to have children by dishing out endless benefits, women will continue to have children they don't really want for financial gain. This will in turn ensure that we have endless social workers, police and the like who don't care very much about child welfare but are more interested in ticking boxes and meeting targets. The absent father can not be vilified in the same way as those responsible for the main care of Peter...he lived in a house full of dirty animals and was treated worse...I believe the torture of Peter stemmed from jealousy fuelled by histories of abuse and neglect on both sides, not to mention a total absence of nurturing instinct

Only the defendants may appeal a verdict.
If the prosecution tried it would be re-trying the same case. That is not allowed and is referred to as double jeopardy.

Well... what do you expect? Being young is rubbish. You have a 30hour job which you can't change, no money, no car, you can't drink, no house and you're not allowed to date whoever you want and no one pays attention to a thing you say just because you're young.

I doubt if they are unconnected. It is just that perhaps nobody has found the link yet! or we have not been told. There is at the moment a geographical link so thats a start.
It could be a genetic link, they may be unknowingly all related and perhaps prone to mental health issues.
Substance abuse could still be a link (I dont mean the usual sort of illegal drugs, but maybe a prescription drug they are getting hold of from somebody (not a doctor) for depression that is leading to catastrophic side effects. Although were they being treated by doctors for depression and the medication prescribed has had a devastating effect?
Did they go clubbing.
Although a post mortem I would have thought would have shown this.

I haven't read about this in any great detail but have heard bits on the news. I'm sure there is a connection, but it's probably of the ';mass hysteria'; type - after the first few, probably unconnected, suicides others who are feeling low get the idea to do the same, a sort of 'everyone else is doing it so why not me?' In some of the later cases the people might not otherwise have taken such drastic action.
I guess that it screws up the national stats on this one, and screws up the government attempts to reduce the suicide rate in young people.
Actually all the suicides have taken place in the County of Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, not just the town as some of the press report.

Its a bit scary all right, we have an area in our province that has a high suicide rate amongst young men and there has been no connection. It is quite possible that some are copycat suicides. My sister took her own life and this subject interests me in a way, not morbidly. I am starting a counselling course in Sept and hope to be able to help somebody in my career.

It is a horrible way to die, but young people are killing themselves every day of the week, all over the country. Perhaps the reporting stats need to be looked at. How many times were the Coroners contacted? Perhaps a reporter has asked the Coroners office to contact him/her everytime, hence lifting his/her name in the media. I don't know.
i agree...having been to bridgend myself i can see why ppl are depressed there..its an awful place..all grey and dull. i cant believe they are denying there is a connection...whatmore they are not even doing anything to stop more accuring. younge lives are being wasted. for such a small town i would have thought they would be offering support to ppl who feel depressed.
